It is all coming together! Here is a sneak peek of my kitchen and breakfast room...
Chair came back re-caned! Love them. So glad I went with the cane and didn't upholster them. First day back Dixon squished chocolate cake on the seats. Wiped right off!
Still need to get some woven wood shades. The new pendant light is on its way. Love the look of curtains with the shades, but not in here. Would get too dirty. So just the shades it will be.
Remember the before? Well we put a good coat of soft white paint on the cabinets, new subway tile backsplash with dark grout which I really love, and added polished nickel pulls and knobs to the cabinets. The granite stayed, not what I would have picked but it is growing on me. The new paint helps a lot. The previous cherry stain on the cabinets totally clashed with it.

Choosing a new polished nickel or maybe an industrial style faucet today (well I hope I can make a decision today... ha!) Also a new roman shade in a fun fabric or maybe cafe curtains for the window above the sink. This I am going to attempt to make myself. Cafe curtains I feel confident with. But the roman shade might be ambitious. Gotta try anyway!
